Welcome to bira direct
As most of you now know, Paul Woolley handed over the bira direct reins to me officially at last week’s National Conference at the Chesford Grange.
It was a very successful event and provided an excellent opportunity for me to meet and speak to so many of you in person; some for the first time. For those who didn’t manage to come I do hope you will try to attend in 2016. I have had only positive feedback from those who attended and the quality and insights provided by this years’ speakers and presenters was fantastic.
So far this year bira direct turnover has been up on last year’s figures. We have set ourselves a challenging budget and have many ideas as to how to achieve this. I personally am hoping to visit some more of our retail members when I can and I’m happy to say that Paul Woolley will continue to do so from August.
On 29th July we have a golf day planned to support the Rainy Day Trust. If you are interested in getting involved please email my PA: Joelle.email@example.com for further details, or to book your place.
I am also hoping to involve more people in the small business Saturday initiative which I believe could provide some great exposure for both bira and some of our retail members. Input is invited from 1st June 2015.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support and welcome you have given me so far and I hope this will turn out to be a very successful and prosperous Summer 2015 for us all.
All the best Jeff,
Managing Director, bira direct
